Currently, part of the Ukrainian territory is temporarily occupied by Russian invaders, in addition, there are regions that are still mined. However, this will not affect the provision of food to Ukrainians.
The UAC Deputy Chairman Denys Marchuk told Channel 24 about this issue. He stressed that Ukrainians have nothing to worry about.
"I would like to reassure all Ukrainians - we will not be left without food. There are no signs and reasons for this and there can be none," Marchuk said.
He mentioned that Ukraine has good indicators for winter crops. They were sown before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in the fall 2021.
In addition, now our farmers have got actually 75% finished spring crops sowed areas. That means, spring sowing ends, which also gives good results.
"I would not like to name the numbers, because farmers always like to say, 'We don't count what is in the field, but what is in the barn,’ However, I assure you that we will definitely have the opportunity to provide for ourselves and find an opportunity to export our products," Marchuk said.
According to him, on average more than 60 million tons of grain group should be produced. At the same time, he noted that the supply during the year in all directions of Ukraine was needed in the area - 20-25 tons.
"Having now transitional remnants, that we cannot export quickly, and we have an additional mechanism for the new harvest - to offer the world. And the world with us need to think about how to export them from Ukraine so that everyone can be satisfied," he noted.
As he explained, the food would be fully exported. Then the countries, to which grain was usually exported, will resolve the situation and be able to prevent famine.
In addition, the world will calm down with the price fever due to the shortage of Ukrainian food. At the same time, Ukraine will receive funds to help us defeat Russia.
