The UAC is a part of the leading agrarian associations which are members of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Forum (UAF) - the Agrarian Union of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Agri Council, the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities, the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Agrarian Union and the Association "Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business" appealed to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to pay attention to the situation of the state regulation and management of the agricultural sector.
In particular, we are talking about the withdraw the Agrarian Committee Chairman Mykola Solskyi from his rank and the situation with the resumption of work of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, which they want to revive with the half part of all functions.
Thus, regarding the resignation of the Agrarian Committee Chairman, the appeal states that the adoption of this decision was not preceded with a public discussion on discussing problems about organization of the work of the Agrarian Committee, which would require this decision.
"This state of affairs, in our opinion, indicates a deep split among both committee members and members of the mono-majority, which calls into question the possibility of further productive committee’s work and dynamic consideration of important bills for the agricultural sector," the association said.
At the same time, the UAF members generally positively assess the work of the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy chaired by Mykola Solskyi during the last three sessions of the IX convocation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Until recently, the leadership of the committee and most of its members acted as a single team, which allowed to ensure its effective work.
Also, the situation with the resumption of full-fledged work of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has become completely unclear. First of all, we are talking about the subordination of the State Tax Service to the Ministry of Economic Development, despite the fact that 11 of the 17 functions performed by this agency are directly related to the formation and implementation of agricultural policy and only 4 - to the Ministry of Economy.
"The development of these destructive processes threatens both the preservation of the previously achieved pace of improving the regulatory environment and the efficiency and effectiveness of public administration and control in the main areas, including export: opening new and maintaining access to already open foreign agriculture markets of products and food", - farmers emphasize.
Therefore, members of leading agrarian associations call on the President to pay personal attention to the situation with public administration and regulation of the economy agricultural sector and to avoid the negative processes development.
Leading agrarian associations appealed to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov and the Chairman of the party “Servant of the People” David Arakhamia, with the same call to pay attention to the agrarian policy problematic issues.
