USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine (CEP)
Supports start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to increase their competitiveness in Ukraine's domestic and international markets, promotes a favorable business environment, and enables Ukrainian companies to benefit from international trade.
USAID Agriculture Growing Rural Opportunities Activity on Ukraine (AGRO)
The goal of the USAID AGRO Program is to accelerate the economic development of Ukraine's most vulnerable rural communities by improving agricultural governance, which will lead to the development of more productive, modern, and profitable micro, small, and medium-sized agricultural enterprises (MSMEs) that successfully integrate into competitive Ukrainian and international markets.
This is an initiative of the European Union. It helps small and medium-sized enterprises in the six Eastern Partnership countries to realize their potential more effectively and stimulate economic growth. On this website you can find information on grants, special EU loans through a banks network in Ukraine, advice on how to improve business skills and enter new markets, etc.
An international humanitarian organization. Since 1981, it has been providing assistance to those in need. It has implemented 83 different charitable projects in 25 countries. In Ukraine, the organization opened its office at the end of 2021 to develop small and medium-sized businesses in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the organization quickly reformatted from economic development projects to emergency assistance to the war-affected population throughout Ukraine.
The program is implemented with the financial support of Switzerland and provides:
- Financial assistance for IDPs in Dnipropetrovsk region to restore microbusinesses lost due to the war and start their own businesses.
- Financial assistance for displaced and local small-scale farmers affected by the war in Poltava, Sumy and Chernihiv regions to start, restore or expand their homestead/small-scale farming activities.
- Financial assistance to small and medium-sized farming enterprises to overcome the consequences of the war in agriculture in Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
- Financial assistance for small and medium-sized businesses relocated because of the war to Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Ternopil regions to preserve and create jobs for IDPs and the population affected because of hostilities.
The Howard G. Buffet Foundation is an American private family foundation. It provides assistance to small and medium-sized farms affected by Russia's full-scale invasion. They provide free loans of agricultural equipment, help with sowing, harvesting and storing crops.
