Ukrainian grain exports are once again under threat due to Russia's actions in the Black Sea. This problem was reported by the UAC Deputy Chairman Denys Marchuk to The New York Times.

Ukrainian farmers and exporters are concerned that Russia has resumed its attempts to attack ships and is again trying to prevent grain exports.

Denys Marchuk expressed concern that a reduction in grain exports would be a blow to the Ukrainian economy. After all, the agricultural sector is a key source of budget revenues for Ukraine, especially in wartime.

According to him, the reduction in Ukrainian grain exports will be both a blow to Kyiv and an incentive for Russia.

“If Ukraine is excluded of this process and our grain does not get to the market,” Marchuk said, ”the price will rise, and Russia will be able to conclude favorable contracts for the sale of the crop. This will help it fill the budget to produce weapons and support its army,” he mentioned.
