On August 13, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a set of measures to support businesses and farmers operating in areas of active combat operations, active combat operations where state electronic resources are operating, and possible combat operations:
Critically important enterprises will be able to reserve up to 100% of their employees who are subject to military service, which will allow them to maintain production processes and ensure food security in the regions.
Farmers will receive a subsidy of 1,000 UAH per hectare in combat zones.
Grants for the development of horticulture, berry growing, viticulture, and greenhouse farming: up to 80% of the project cost can be compensated by a grant, while for farmers in other territories, the amount of compensation is limited to 50%. The maximum amount of compensation for the cost of planting crops for all crops is unified — no more than 400,000 UAH per ha.
The UAC thanks President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko for their political will and support for the relevant proposals of the UAC members. Special thanks go to the team of the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, headed by Oleksii Sobolev, and personally to the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs Taras Vysotskyi for their persistent and painstaking work.
