The list of agricultural products for which the VAT rate can be reduced to 14% has been expanded.

Relevant amendments to the draft law №3656 were developed by experts of Ukrainian Agri Council and have already been registered in the parliament by Peoples’ Deputies Oleksandr Kovalchuk and Oleksii Ustenko.

In particular, UAC proposes to include to the list such agricultural products as:

• meat of cattle and pigs;
• sausages and offal from the relevant meat;
• milk and milk products, in particular butter, cheese of all kinds and lactic milk cheese;
• beet sugar.

In addition, UAC prepared, and the deputies submitted amendments how to solve a problem of VAT rate increasing on imports of purebred pigs, which nowadays are exempt from taxation and requirements for payment under the agreements for the supply of agricultural products, which were constituted before the adoption of the draft law of Ukraine.

We hope that the parliamentary factions will unanimously support these amendments during the second reading of the draft law №3656 on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine about the rate of value added tax on transactions for the supply of certain types of agricultural products.
