On May 19, a meeting of representatives of the agricultural sectors of Ukraine and Poland took place in Warsaw. The event was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian delegation included Denys Bashlyk, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, as well as representatives of leading agricultural associations and business organizations, including Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC).

The meeting continued the ongoing Ukrainian-Polish dialogue in the agricultural sector and focused on discussing key issues of bilateral cooperation, identifying mutually acceptable solutions, and developing mechanisms for further interaction between the agricultural sectors of both countries.

Participants discussed the need for predictable and transparent rules governing agricultural trade between Ukraine and the European Union, issues related to the transit and export of Ukrainian agricultural products through Poland, the importance of jointly developing mechanisms to protect farmers in both countries, and opportunities for expanding joint infrastructure and processing projects between Ukraine and Poland.

Particular attention was given to the importance of maintaining strong partnerships between Ukrainian and Polish farmers amid current economic and security challenges.

"Today, it is extremely important to maintain direct dialogue between the agricultural communities of Ukraine and Poland. Our common task is to find solutions that protect the interests of farmers in both countries while preserving the stability of agricultural trade and partnership," said Denys Marchuk.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation at the level of industry associations, expert groups, and government institutions in order to develop practical and mutually acceptable solutions.
