Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chairman of the UAC, took part in the committee meeting in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on “Priorities and Challenges for Small and Medium Businesses in 2025”. The event was attended by representatives of leading business associations, MPs, the Business Ombudsman, international organizations and analytical centers.

In his speech, Denys Marchuk noted that the issue of reserving employees is one of the most pressing for agribusiness, especially during the sowing campaign.

Without people working in the fields, ensuring sowing and harvesting, it is impossible to guarantee the country's food security. We are grateful to the Verkhovna Rada and the government for extending the reservation period for critical enterprises until March 31. However, it is necessary to improve the reserving mechanism so that farmers can work steadily,” he said.

Denys Marchuk emphasized that the UAC proposes a new approach for reservation for farmers. In particular, to set a reserving rate of one person per 100 hectares of land. Such a mechanism, according to the UAC, will allow agricultural enterprises to plan their work and ensure the sustainable development of the agricultural sector under martial law.

In addition, the meeting discussed the issue of blocking tax invoices, the level of business confidence in tax authorities, and the reboot of the State Tax Service and the Financial Monitoring Service.
