The Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC) has invited Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria Hermine Poppeller and Austrian Embassy Trade Representative Susan Macht to discuss possible areas of cooperation in the agricultural sector in Uman.

Guests got acquainted with the activities of the UAC, the Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine, the Association of Pig Producers of Ukraine, the “Ukrtsukor” and the Food Export Council (UFEB), as well as the situation on the domestic markets of grain, milk, pork, and sugar.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the problems of the domestic agrarian sector and possible ways of their solution.

Ms. Hermine Poppeller and Ms. Susan Macht also visited the Ukrainian Agrarian Lyceum (UAL), created on the basis of the UAC. Guests were acquainted with the national education system and provided their recommendations for its improvement.

According to the results of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in the agrarian sector.
