Kischenzi Agriculture CEO and member of the Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC) Kees Huizinga demonstrated the consequences of a night attack by Russian drones in a video message from his field in Cherkasy region. He emphasized the tragic consequences of a possible suspension of assistance to Ukraine from international partners, including the United States.
“The consequences of stopping American aid are tragic: more and more civilians, women and children will be killed. After all, Russia sends hundreds of such drones to Ukraine every night. Therefore, I urge you to continue to support us to prevent new killings of innocent people by the Russians!” the UAС member appealed.
According to him, his 250-hectare field has numerous craters from enemy’s shells. One of them was left by a downed “Shahed” that could hit a farm located just 1.5 km away. Nearby are the houses of farm workers and civilians who live under the threat of new attacks every day.
“Each such drone is 2-3 meters long and carries 50 kg of explosives. It brings death to our women and children. The Russians are targeting schools, hospitals, and energy facilities. Ukraine needs all possible help to effectively shoot down these threats and protect its people,” he emphasized.
He emphasized the importance of U.S. support, which includes satellite imagery, intelligence, and weapons that enable Ukraine's air defense forces to destroy enemy drones before they strike civilians.
