Ukrainian Agri Council held meetings with farmers of Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytskyi regions. The events took place on March 23-24 and gathered more than 100 participants.

The representatives of UAC spoke about the legislative initiatives that were implemented during the last year with the support of the association, as well as about work plans for 2023. In particular, it was about the peculiarities of the further functioning of the "5-7-9" preferential lending program, the reservation of conscript workers of the agricultural industry, the fight against the non-return of foreign exchange earnings, etc.

"Our task is to restore Ukraine, and for this we need to return the population, ensuring a decent standard of living. The agro-sector can get money by creating added value, through processing. We need industrial agricultural production, increase processing, launch the Marshall Plan, and we are working on it. All of this will provide new jobs. In Ukraine, corn processing is a promising area and there is potential for the production of biomethane", - emphasized the head of the UAC Andriy Dykun.

According to him, critical issues for the Ukrainian agricultural sector is the functioning of the grain agreement and the removal of obstacles on the Polish border, so that farmers can fully sell agricultural products.

The situation in the liberated and temporarily occupied territories remains extremely acute, the UAC is constantly working to legalize agricultural production on these lands.

"We need to demine 5 million hectares – that is a lot of money. Farmers of the eastern and southern regions require special support. These are our messages that we are delivering to the world today," added the head of the UAC
