The Ukrainian Agri Council organized a meeting with farmers of Poltava region. The head of the association, Andrii Dykun, the deputy head of the UAC Denys Marchuk, and the UAC's advisor on land issues, Viktoriia Kipriianova, discussed the problematic issues of the agricultural sector and reported on the UAC's activities.
In particular, the agricultural producers were familiarized with the results of the association's work on providing financing for the industry, postponement of military service of agricultural producers, assistance in fixing losses, etc. The results of work on land, tax issues and exports were also discussed.
"Today, the UAC does not agree with the introduction of "export deposits". Our experts have joined the development of a compromise draft law 8166-D, which will fight against non-return of foreign exchange earnings and at the same time will not create an excessive burden on legal farmers. We joined the work on increasing the limit of support per person under the state programs of preferential lending 5-7-9. Our advisory department has also developed a draft law on exemption from the 4th of a single tax in the territories that are occupied or where there have been hostilities," said Andrii Dykun.
According to him, today the UAC advocates maintaining the limit of land concentration in the ownership of one person at the current level - no more than 100 hectares. The UAC actively supports initiatives to combat shadow grain exports, but only if transparent administration mechanisms are in place that do not create obstacles for legal farmers.
The UAC is also working to overcome logistical obstacles. In the international arena, it lobbies for the extension of the Grain Agreement and EU subsidies to cover excessive logistics costs for Ukrainian exporters.
Since the first days of the war, the association has continued to develop its humanitarian work. The UAC works closely with international donors, and its members actively support their communities and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
