The Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC) expresses its support for Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi.

In connection with the transfer of criminal proceedings regarding Taras Vysotskyi to court by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), we emphasize the need for strict adherence to the principle of the presumption of innocence. Any allegations cannot be considered proven until a relevant court decision is issued. It is the court that must establish all circumstances of the case, assess the evidence, and make a final decision.

The alleged offense is preliminarily classified as one potentially related to the misuse of official position contrary to the interests of service for the purpose of obtaining undue benefit for a legal entity.

At the same time, UAC considers it unacceptable to disseminate unproven allegations against one of the key managers of the agricultural sector, who, in the absence of a dedicated ministry, has been consistently working in the interests of the sector, ensuring its stability and adequate support.

It is particularly important to maintain a constructive approach at a time when Ukraine’s agricultural sector requires consolidation of efforts, effective representation, and protection of its interests, including at the international level.

We recall that in the first months of the full-scale invasion, one of the state’s key priorities was to ensure food security. Managerial decisions were made under martial law, disrupted logistics, and the critical need for rapid response.

Thanks to professionalism, responsibility, and the ability to operate under crisis conditions, it was possible to maintain the stability of agricultural production and ensure uninterrupted food supply.

UAC emphasizes that an objective, impartial, and professional consideration of the case in court is the only basis for conclusions and decisions.
