Experts of the Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC) provided clarifications on the mechanism of subsidies payments to agricultural producers operating in the territories where military operations are taking place or can be possible. According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 938, approved on August 16, 2024, farmers in these areas can count on receiving state support in the form of budget subsidies.

This support is provided on a non-refundable basis per 1 hectare of cultivated land. For the areas where hostilities are possible, farmers will be paid UAH 1,000 per hectare, and for those where active hostilities are taking place or where state electronic resources are operating, UAH 2,000 per hectare.

Applications for subsidies will be accepted from September 10 to 25, 2024 through the State Agrarian Register. The funds will help farmers overcome financial difficulties and ensure the stability of agricultural production in times of war.
