On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the second reading draft law No. 13157, which, in particular, introduces export duties on soybeans and rapeseed - 10%.

The UAC does not support the parliament's decision to vote on amendments, which, according to experts, could lead to total losses for the state in the amount of UAH 9.3 billion for soybeans and UAH 7.7 billion for rapeseed. In addition, today's vote was held in violation of the rules of procedure, since it was not allowed to put amendment No. 91 for confirmation.

We thank the people's deputies who, with full understanding of the responsibility for their decision, did not support the amendments that would lead to significant losses for the state economy during the war, and stood in defense of farmers. We express special gratitude to People's Deputy Oleksii Honcharenko for his unwavering state position and advocacy of the interests of agricultural producers.

UAC will continue to defend and protect the rights of small and medium-sized agricultural producers for fair market conditions for every farmer in an independent and democratic state, because more than 75% of the sown areas in Ukraine are cultivated by small and medium-sized farmers, and therefore their needs must be taken into account.
