Recently, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine hosted a trilateral meeting of parliamentarians from Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania, as well as representatives of agricultural associations. The parties discussed issues aimed at reducing tension on the Polish border and ensuring unimpeded exports of Ukrainian agricultural products.
“This is the second meeting, which is another step towards deepening cooperation between our countries in the agricultural sector and establishing uninterrupted exports of agricultural products,” commented Andrii Dykun, the UAC Chairman.
The participants also discussed the ban on the transit and import of agricultural products from russia and belarus to the EU countries.
The parties expressed readiness for further cooperation, to develop and sign a declaration prohibiting the transit and import of russian and belarusian agricultural products to the EU, as well as intervention purchases of Ukrainian agricultural products to stabilize market prices.
