Agrarians of Kharkiv region will buy fuel at reduced prices and with deferred payment until harvest. This is the result of a meeting with the oil traders of the Head of State, the Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration and the Kharkiv Regional Administration of the SBU.

UAC welcomes such an initiative and thanks President Volodymyr Zelensky, Head of Kharkiv Oblast Oleksiy Kucher, and representatives of oil trading companies for understanding and assisting farmers in a difficult time. UAC also thanks Kharkiv Regional Administration of the SBU for support and willingness to prevent any manifestations of raiding.

Agrarians have faced the most serious challenges of decades in their campaign for sowing this year. Quarantine restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic have already made their mark on the country's economy. Currently, the working capital of the agrarians is depreciated due to the devaluation of the hryvnia, inventory - due to the fall in commodity markets of agricultural products, and  banks  tightening credit policy.

However, in spite of all the difficulties, agrarians went out into the fields and started to sow, because they understand - the food security of the country is above all. The agrarian sector is 17% of the country's GDP, 40% of the foreign exchange earnings that keep the hryvnia exchange rate. That is why the support of the authorities and agrarian partners, including oil refineries, is so important. Today, aid to farmers is the same as helping  our country.

Farmers are urging the authorities, security agencies and oil refining companies in other regions to support the initiative implemented in Kharkiv region so that those who stand on the country's food security today receive comprehensive support for sowing and harvesting.
