Representatives of more than 360 agricultural enterprises-members of Ukrainian Agrarian Council during the general meeting of the association unanimously supported the proposal of UAC to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to sign the bill "On Agricultural Cooperation" adopted by the parliament as soon as possible. All present voted for this issue of the agenda.

The appeal has already been sent to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The letter emphasizes that the entire agrarian community is waiting for the entry into force of this law, as it is extremely important for the agricultural sector. Developed with the participation of UAC experts, international organizations and specialists, taking into account the proposals of real agricultural service and production cooperatives and their associations, this law is revolutionary for the agricultural sector and Ukraine.

"The adoption of this law will finally allow cooperatives that unite small and medium-sized agricultural producers to compete on an equal footing with large holdings, develop logistics infrastructure and processing of agricultural products.

In addition, this law greatly simplifies the work of agricultural cooperatives, allowing them to buy the products of their members, which was previously prohibited; to distribute the received profit in proportion to the products handed over by them, which is the basis of world cooperation, but is also prohibited by the current Law of Ukraine "On Agricultural Cooperation"; to use the accounting terminology generally accepted in the world and in Ukraine, instead of outdated concepts of the Soviet model of cooperation which are absent both in the national, and in the international standard of accounting », - it is noted in the address.

Therefore, Ukrainian Agrarian Council, which unites more than 800 small and medium-sized agricultural producers, calls on the President to sign the law "On Agricultural Cooperation" as soon as possible.
