Denys Marchuk, UAC Deputy Chairman, has joined the new Public Council at the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. The constituent assembly for the formation of the Public Council took place today.

"The State Food and Consumer Service has many functions. This includes food quality control, registration and accounting of agro-industrial complex equipment, implementation of state policy in the field of veterinary medicine, etc. Moreover, we will continue to take part in the department’s work. The main task is the support and development of the domestic agro-industrial complex. Therefore, as a specialized association, we are ready to help to develop appropriate mechanisms that will promote such development," Denys Marchuk said.

The Public Council also includes representatives of associations that unite UAC: Anna Lavreniuk, Vice President for Public Relations of the Association of Milk Producers (AMP), Oksana Yurchenko, President of the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders (AUPB), and Director of the Ukrainian Holstein Association (UHA) Igor Prysiazhniuk.
