Ukrainian Agri Council appealed to the Minister of Interior of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, Deputy Minister Anton Gerashchenko and Deputy Chief of the National Police of Ukraine - Chief of Patrol Service Oleksandr Fatsevych regarding the untimely death of UAC member Volodymyr Matviyets, whose family was attacked on October 29 by unknown individuals.

Demanding money, the attackers brutally tortured the owner of the house for several hours. Volodymyr’s son and wife were also seriously wounded. Unfortunately, after injuries caused by torture, Volodymyr Mativiyets died at the hospital.

“Volodymyr Matviyets was a Deputy of the village council, a member of UAC and the founder of AE “Vilnyi Selianyn”. He was one of the best in his work. People knew him as an active local politician, philanthropist, one of the leaders of the agrarian movement of Bilogirsk region. This is a great loss for everyone - for the region, fellow farmers, friends and relatives,"

Therefore, UAC calls on Arsen Avakov, Anton Gerashchenko and Oleksandr Fatsevych to take all possible measures to ensure that this crime does not go unpunished and the perpetrators to be punished
