The Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC) has announced a large-scale fund-raising campaign to purchase cars for the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces. The operational request from the military is 150 vehicles: 75 Volkswagen Transporter T-5 and 75 pickup trucks. This is one of the largest requests for vehicles from the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the full-scale invasion.

The Chairman of the UAC Andrii Dykun emphasized the importance of the fund-raising and calls on not only farmers but also all those who care to join in, because each car means saved lives of our defenders:

“The Ukrainian Air Assault Forces is the most mobile branch of the military, effectively carrying out complex missions on the front lines in all critical areas. This is one of the most combat-ready units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, playing a crucial role in every assault operation. Our organization has been supporting the Air Assault Forces since the first days of the full-scale invasion, but now they need even more help to defend our territories and prevent the enemy from seizing new ones. Every vehicle for them is a chance to move faster and more safely during combat missions, ensuring the protection of our shared future.”

For the first time, the UAC is making the fund-raising opened to all Ukrainians, because the more people join in, the sooner we will provide our soldiers with the necessary vehicles for the defense of the country and bring our common victory closer.

The Head of Logistics of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces Command confirms that the vehicles at the front have a limited lifespan - they are constantly under fire because they operate in the most difficult conditions and are often targeted by the enemy. Nevertheless, it is the vehicles that often save the lives of soldiers and enhance the successful fulfilment of missions.

During the full-scale war, the UAC in cooperation with the Save Ukraine Charitable Foundation (SaveUA) has transferred 2,308 vehicles to the military, but the needs of the army are growing.
