The members of UAC (it’s more than 800 hundred farms from all regions of Ukraine) are indignant at cynical manipulations of information and facts fabrication, that were allowed by Vice-President of Ukrainian chemists Union Ihor Gholchenko in his public declarations.

UAC and the First Ukrainian Agriculture Cooperative operate exclusively in the interests of their members, and include providing them with mineral fertilizers at prices significantly lower than those offered by “OstChem” and PJSC “Agrarnii Fond”. In turn, any statements that call into question or challenge this fact are lies and are refuted by the results of First Ukrainian Agriculture Cooperative work.

So, for example, last year, when the company “OstChem”, which was the only Ukrainian producer of ammonium nitrate, and the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine sold it at an average of 11 thousand UAH per ton, the First Ukrainian Agriculture Cooperative supplied it to its members at 9.5 thousand UAH per ton, and this despite the fact that its import to Ukraine required additional costs.

Hints that UAC and the First Ukrainian Agriculture Cooperative are violating the embargo on the import of Russian fertilizers are also outright lies. The First Ukrainian Agriculture Cooperative buys fertilizers exclusively from producers from Ukraine's allied countries, which support the Ukrainian state in its fight for the restoration of territorial integrity.

We think the mentioned fabricated information and, launched through anonymous telegram channels, are aimed at justifying the attempts of the company group “OstChem” to achieve quotas on imports of mineral fertilizers from Europe, Turkey, USA, Africa, Georgia, Azerbaijan and completely monopolize the Ukrainian fertilizer market. To further "wind up" prices in the local market and provide extra profits to its owner - Dmytro Firtash at the expense of ordinary Ukrainian farmers.

In order to stop the relevant insinuations, UAC asks to consider this statement as a request to law enforcement agencies to conduct an investigation into the circumvention of the embargo on the supply of fertilizers from the Russian Federation. And also calls on “OstChem” to do the same.

After all, despite numerous complaints about the alleged supply of mineral fertilizers from Russia Frderation to circumvent the embargo, there is no information that the company group “OstChem” has officially demanded an investigation.
