Thousands of honest agricultural producers in the occupied and de-occupied territories are still uncertain and do not understand how to continue working, because they fall under the articles of the Law on Criminal Liability for Collaborationism. This was stated by the head of the UAC Andrii Dykun during the presentation of the results of the analytical study "Analysis of the impact of war on the Ukraine’s agricultural sector ".
"Many farmers in the occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhzhya and Luhansk regions do not know what to do. Their agricultural activity is considered criminal. The law defines them as collaborators if, during the occupation, their enterprises were working, and therefore "interacted" with the aggressor state, illegal authorities created in the temporarily occupied territory. Although they fulfilled the order of the President of Ukraine, who in his address in the spring encouraged all farmers to sow, wherever they are, " said the head of the UAC.
According to him, bills #7647 and #7647, which clearly distinguish between collaborators and those who worked to survive, can correct the situation. These two bills have been in the Verkhovna Rada for several months, but without progress.
"Perhaps this is not an urgent issue, such as the increase in the cost of export logistics, or the issue of small processing, where, unfortunately, we cannot compete on the EU market, but this is the issue of thousands of people who constantly call me asking how to work further. Therefore, I once again emphasize the provisions of draft laws No. 7647 and No. 7647, which would clearly establish who is a traitor and who works for the sake of survival, " Andrii Dykun emphasized.
