The Ukrainian Agricultural Lyceum (UAL), created on the basis of the Ukrainian Agricultural Council in 2017 in Uman, is preparing for the start of a new academic season.

This year, 45 eleventh-graders and 44 ten-grade students will study at the Lyceum. In this case, an additional class of UAL will be opened in Tyshkivka UTC in the Kirovograd region.

The first week of training, as in the past year, will be devoted to teamwork so that new students can get to know each other and create a friendly team. This week will be devoted to team work: conducting brainstorming, passing quests. After that, students will begin deeper immersion in the educational process.

The basis of the educational methodology of the UAL are the principles of the Estonian and Finnish educational systems. The school operates on the concept of "New Ukrainian School" in contrast to the outdated classical system, which does not meet the requirements of modern life. According to this concept, students are provided with not just new knowledge - they are taught to apply the information received in practice. At the same time, every lyceum teacher use an individual approach.

UAL uses a studio model of learning. This means that in the first half of the day students will attend studios with a duration of 90 minutes, and the second - special studios, which are essentially something of an average between circles and electives.

All lyceum studios are divided into three types. First, academic studios designed to eliminate gaps in educational subjects. They are visited by children who have to catch up with the curriculum and want to improve their own knowledge. Second, developing studios - help students learn more about themselves and become self-assured. Thirdly, there are professional studios in which students can try themselves in different professions.

The last two types of studios are chosen by children on their own, and teachers are directed at academic children.

In addition to studying in couples and working in studios, lyceum students will participate in social projects on their own. For example, the UAL launches a project to promote healthy nutrition in the city of Uman. Students will talk about the importance of proper nutrition, will hold competitions, flash mobs to integrate as many people as possible into a healthy lifestyle.

Note. Ukrainian Agricultural Lyceum is a private secondary educational institution of the III degree with an agrarian inclination, located in the city of Uman, Cherkasy region. The Lyceum was founded by the head of the Ukrainian Agricultural Council Andriy Dykun.
