The Ukrainian Agricultural Council has received a grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The funds will be used to organize the work of the legal department of the UAC in the part of monitoring and analysis of the draft laws of the Verkhovna Rada and draft resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers on their impact on the agrarian sector.
This will enable the Ukrainian Agricultural Council to control the legislative activity of the state in terms of agricultural policy in order to take into account the interests of small and medium-sized producers who produce the main volumes of agricultural products and form the lion's share of domestic agricultural GDP.
USAID provides economic and humanitarian assistance around the world. In Ukraine, USAID assistance is provided in the areas of economic development, democracy and governance, health care and the social sector.
