The PU “Ukrainian Agri Council” was founded on April 29, 2014.
The UAC Chairman Andrii Dykun it all started with the realization that farmers needed not just situational support, but consistent and systemic changes in the agricultural sector, which were carried out at the legislative and executive levels. Moreover, about 80% of agricultural land is cultivated by small and medium enterprises, which are the basis of the agricultural sector. And they must become the foundation for the country's development.
"7 years ago, there were only a few like-minded people who decided that it was a time to create an organization that would unite the average agribusiness of our country. Because it is the basis of agricultural GDP. Moreover, in all developed countries, the foundation for development is medium-sized businesses. It should become a driving force for the creation of an independent, democratic Ukraine," the UAC Chairman said.
Today it is an organization with more than 800 members all over Ukraine with a land bank of more than 3.5 million hectares, and is involved to solve the most current issues of the agricultural sector beginning from rural communities on out to the relevant ministry in the government and committee in the parliament.
During 7 years we managed to achieve significant results:
- an advisory center "Smart Country" was made. Its experts are working in more than 20 different directions to implement qualitative changes in the agricultural sector: restoration of irrigation system, stimulation of the processing industry, reform of Ukrzaliznytsia, bringing all parts of the agricultural sector legal and more.
- to join the development of education in the regions. The UAC Chairman Andrii Dykun founded the Ukrainian Agrarian Lyceum, which operated with the support of association’s members. The institution teaches according to the latest educational methods and produces excellent students.
- to provide quality security for its members thanks to the security company "Haidamaky" created on the basis of the association. Its experts warn and repel raider attacks of any complexity and never side with the opponent.
- to become one of the leaders in the development of the cooperative movement. The First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative (which was made on the base of the UAC) organized the sale of grain, fuel and mineral fertilizers supply for members of the association.
"All this would have not been possible if the UAC had not been a professional team, for which I want to thank them very much. Without such a highly motivated, professional, ideological team, there will be no the UAC,” Andrii Dykun emphasized.
