2020 has become a challenge for everyone. However, UAC continued to work actively and develop.
2️00 new farms became the UAC's members during 2020. Today, the association unites more than 800 small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises from all over Ukraine. We thank you everyone for your trust!
The UAC organized 102 meetings, which were attended by 3,000 participants. Meetings in the regions, online conferences, and training webinars – UAC had a finger on the country's agricultural life pulse. And, of course, the UAC's team also studied - at the request of time quickly mastered the programs of online communication and at least doubled their work.
The UAC participants are a socially responsible business. Almost UAH 3️ billion in taxes were paid by the UAC member farms to the country's budget and provided employment to 48,000 Ukrainians (according to September 1, 2020).
The UAC continued to work on legislative initiatives, being the voice of farmers in Kyiv. About 200 meetings with government officials - the President, MPs, the Cabinet - were held by UAC experts, working in this direction.
In addition, the UAC participants were involved in charity. More than 300 tons of seeds for sowing were received by 19 enterprises-participants of UAC from Odesa region affected by the drought. UAH 1.5 million were raised and spent for 180 tons of wheat and barley were purchased. Farmers gave more than 150 tons of grain.
According to the charity program “Save Ukrainians’ Lives” medical institutions got more than UAH 20 million for the fight against COVID-19. In addition, farmers provided:
- 30 units of medical equipment - artificial lungs, oxygen concentrators for hospitals
- more than 0.5 million personal protective equipment for doctors, police, rescuers and border guards
- more than 60,000 food bags for hospitals, low-income families and pensionaries.
