
The Ukrainian Agricultural Council (UAC) has invited the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Ukraine, Mr. Ernst Wolfgang Reichel to Uman to discuss possible areas of cooperation in the agricultural sector.
The Ambassador familiarized himself with the activities of the UAC, the Association of Milk Producers, “Svynari Ukrayiny”, the “Ukrtsukor” and the Food Export Council (FEC), as well as the situation on the domestic markets of soy, milk, pork and sugar.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the importance of signing by the president of draft law No. 7403-d, which abolishes the rule of non-reimbursement of VAT when exporting soybeans and rapeseed to producers who supply these crops abroad on their own. Mr Ernst Wolfgang Reichel agreed with the need for its implementation and promised Ukrainian farmers support from the German embassy in Ukraine.
Also, there was considered the importance of adopting the Draft Law No. 6527-d on agricultural co-operation, which is expected by small and medium-sized agricultural producers.
In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of organizing joint exhibitions and forums.
Recall, June 11, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine, Lee Young Gu visited the UAC and discussed possible ways of cooperation of our states in the agrarian and food sectors.
