During the period of wartime on the territory of Ukraine, when all efforts should be directed to overcoming a common external enemy, the internal destabilization of the Ukrainian agribusiness by law enforcement and judicial authorities is taking place.

The UAC records that there are systematic violations of the rights and legitimate interests of a number of union’s members - agricultural enterprises by employees of the Investigation Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Cherkasy region, which go beyond the scope of their authority.

Employees of the Investigation Department of the Main Department of the National Police took actions aimed at initiating criminal proceedings, creating artificial evidence and fabricating a criminal case against officials of “DK VET” LLC. Another dubious criminal case was opened against “Agrofirma Maiak” LLC. These agricultural enterprises have long been operating in the Ukrainian market and have got an excellent business reputation. Today, investigators are actually terrorizing these farms.

The UAC appealed to People’s Deputy Halyna Yanchenko, Chairman of the Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Investors' Rights Protection, to take all possible measures to stop the unjustified criminal prosecution of “DK VET LLC”, “Agrofirm  Mayak” LLC and their officials.

Security forces should protect, not to destroy, domestic agribusiness. The UAC expects the government to take action to support the agricultural sector.
