On September 17, 2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in Kyiv between the Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC) and the Ukrvinprom corporation. The main goal of this initiative is to preserve and develop the Ukrainian viticulture, promote its competitiveness and support national viticulture traditions.
The Memorandum envisages close cooperation between the organizations to protect the interests of viticulturers in both domestic and international markets, realize export potential, and implement a number of programs and projects aimed at maintaining the quality of Ukrainian wines and introducing innovative technologies.
“Ukraine has a huge potential in viniculture, and our common task is to create all the conditions to support and develop this industry, as well as the agricultural sector as a whole. This memorandum will allow us to combine our efforts to achieve this goal and protect the interests of our producers,” said Andriy Dykun, Chairman of the UAC.
The participants of the memorandum also emphasized the need for high-quality professional and innovative training for the agricultural sector, educational activities to raise consumer awareness of the quality and uniqueness of Ukrainian wines, as well as participation in creating favorable legislative conditions for the development of the industry.
