The tenth anniversary Battle of the Agrotitans took place in Kyiv region, on the fields of the TAK Group of Companies, bringing together farmers and industry representatives from all regions of Ukraine.
The event, organized by the Ukrainian Agri Council, TAK-Agro and Dykun Company, featured a demonstration of agricultural machinery, including plows, subsoilers, seeders, sowing machines, sprayers, spreaders, harrows, cultivators, reloading bins, grain carriers, mulchers, shredding rollers, loaders, and balers.
According to Andriy Dykun, Chairman of the Ukrainian Agri Council, and Ruslan Holub, Director of TAK-Agro, the event was a symbol of the resilience of the agricultural sector, which, despite the most difficult times, has been an example of the unity of farmers to help and support the country since the first days of the full-scale invasion.
"Peaceful times will come and we will all look back and see how much farmers contributed to Ukraine's victory. I am proud that the UAC have become a strong rear guard for our defenders, for the citizens affected by the war and in need of humanitarian and food aid, and for each other, as we support those who have lost everything in restoring their farms. Together we are a powerful force," said Andriy Dykun.
One of the special guests of the Battle of the Agrotitans was Jose Andreas, founder of the World Central Kitchen charity organization, which was one of the first to enter Ukraine, in particular, de-occupied Kherson and Bucha, and began feeding people there.
"Thanks to people like Andriy Dykun, my team has changed the way we work in Ukraine. He explained to us that it was important to buy food in Ukraine rather than bring truckloads of food from Europe, because this way we would support the country's economy and national business, and save jobs. And we started to buy 100% of the food for cooking and distributing food parcels exclusively from national producers and work together with the team of the Save Ukraine Foundation, which was created by members of the UAC in the first days of the war," said Jose Andreas.
In total, WCK team spent $450 million to help Ukrainians during the full-scale invasion.
"We are grateful for the international support, but unfortunately, statistics show that volunteer assistance is sometimes on the decline, and this is understandable, because everyone is losing both strength and financial resources, but we must keep going: provide our businesses, create jobs, and then help the defenders and support the Ukrainian economy," Ruslan Holub addressed the participants of the event.
Special attention at the Battle of the Agrotitans was paid to the exhibition of destroyed equipment brought from Kherson region. According to Andrii Dykun, the issue of helping farmers in the de-occupied territories who have lost their farms requires a systematic government solution and the involvement of international donors, without waiting for the Victory.
"We have to restore the agricultural sector to save Ukraine," emphasized the UAC Chairman.
We thank all our partners and visitors for participating in the Battle of the Agrotitans, for their courage to work under any conditions and unwavering support of Ukraine in the most difficult time for the agricultural sector and the whole country.
