The SAVEUA International Charitable Foundation and the UAC in partnership with Help - Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe in the framework of the project “Emergency Aid and Protection of the Victims of the War in Ukraine” created a hotline for internally displaced persons “SaveUA Hotline for IDPs”.

The overall goal of the project is to provide support to the population affected by the consequences of full-scale armed aggression by the Russia.

Target area of ​​the project is Cherkasy region with a population of 1.15 million people.

Advisory services will be provided to people who have moved from the temporarily occupied territories looking for shelter and assistance. Also IDPs who are in a town not for a long time and need to be quickly provided with information and coordinated on a need or problem. The type of consultation depends on the individual situation of the needy.

Hotline operators provide for:

  • Information support and consultations.
  • They accept requests for humanitarian aid and psychological support.

Managers of the SaveUA hotline regularly monitor current news and information for IDPs.

Information:

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Millions of Ukrainians have faced war. Durinf the last month, 8 million of the total number of refugees have become internally displaced persons who need psychological support and humanitarian aid, counseling or information on where to turn for help.

An internally displaced person (IDP) is a person who has been forced to leave its home and move to a safer place within their country.

According to IOM, the share of IDPs in Ukraine's total population has risen to 17.5% - every six has become internally displaced.

At least 60% of internally displaced persons are women. Women and children, elderly people and people with disabilities have suffered much more, as they are all in vulnerable groups.

The project "Emergency Aid and Protection of the Victims of the War in Ukraine" is funded by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany and NAK-karitative, is implemented by the mission Help - Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe in Ukraine in partnership with SaveUA and "Ukrainian AgriCouncil" PU.
