The order of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman to First Vice Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv, Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova, acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Maxim Martynyuk and head of the State Fiscal Service Oleksandr Vlasov to contribute to the unblocking of fertilizer imports into Ukraine is only partially fulfilled.

According to the information of the Agrochemical Union of Ukraine, there is currently a controversial situation at the customs: сustoms posts at railway crossings began to clear some batches of fertilizers, and in the ports there were practically no positive changes.

"Now the situation is on well-established pattern: they took samples, some of the wagons have already received certificates with the results of sampling, violations were not detected, so they cleaned these parties. Part of the product was cleaned without sampling. But the other part still stands. In ports, the situation is even worse than on the land border - there are almost no positive trends there", - said the head of the Agrochemical Union of Ukraine Sergiy Ruban.

The UAC expresses the hope that the Prime Minister's order will be fully implemented in the near future. We also hope that the situation will be finally settled so that the countries - international partners of Ukraine could without obstacles to import new fertilizer batches to Ukraine. After all, further blockage of fertilizer imports will lead to the bankruptcy of importing companies, increase in fertilizer prices on the domestic market, reducing the competitiveness of farmers, reducing yields and worsening the quality of fertile soils.

Recall that Ukrainian customs since December 7 block imports of all batches of mineral fertilizers from Poland, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Turkey. As of December 20, more than 45 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers were detained at the border. In general, more than 53% of the average monthly import of nitrogen fertilizers was blocked.

December 21, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said that he took the question of blocking the import of mineral fertilizers under personal control.

In response to the appeal of the people's deputies, sent on the initiative of Ukrainian Agri Council, Prime Minister gave instructions to First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food and the chairman of State Fiscal Service to facilitate the unblocking of mineral fertilizer imports into Ukraine. "I ask you to urgently consider the essence of the issue raised, if necessary, to take appropriate measures and to inform the people's deputies of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers about the results in the manner established by the law," the statement says.
