Members of the Ukrainian Agri Council brought the agricultural machinery destroyed by Russian troops to the Uhryniv check-point on the state border of Ukraine and Poland.
Unlike the Polish farmers who blocked the truck traffic, Ukrainian farmers are not resorting to radical actions and want to show their neighbors the conditions they have to work in for the third year in a row.
"Once again, we want to remind the Poles that we are not competitors, to show them the losses and consequences of the war. This is the second check-point to which our farmers have brought their shot equipment. At the end of February, we placed the equipment near the Krakivets-Korchova check-point. Today we brought it to Uhryniv. These destroyed seeders, tractors and combines are from agricultural enterprises of Kherson region. Many farms there are still under occupation, while others have lost their businesses. And while our Polish colleagues continue to " wangle" economic preferences for themselves by blocking the borders, Ukrainian farmers who have suffered losses cannot resume their economic activities," explained the UAC Chairman Andrii Dykun.
