In Ukraine, representatives of small and medium-sized farms have limited access to credit due to the high rates and the lack of collateral. In particular, this refers to farmers with up to 500 hectares of land. A new project of the World Bank with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture is aimed at expanding access to credit for small producers.

The Government decided to establish the Partial Loan Guarantee Fund in for farmers to increase the access to credit resources. The Foundation was created under the support of the World Bank. Today, the World Bank is implementing the project "Strengthening the Partial Loan Guarantee Fund in Agriculture".

The purpose of the Project is to initiate activities and develop the Partial Loan Guarantee Fund in Agriculture to provide assistance in improved access to financing for micro-enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, and entrepreneurs conducting agricultural activities.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy, together with partners from the World Bank has prepared informational materials on the implementation of the Project, which are posted for the public and discussion.
