Ukraine annually feeds about 400 million people around the world and the continuation of the "Grain Agreement" is necessary for all countries to prevent a global food crisis. Ukraine is obliged to protect the "grain corridor" by enlisting the support of international partners. The numbers have confirmed the importance of the "Grain Initiative".
This was emphasized by the chair of the UAC Andrii Dykun:
"Currently, the grain corridor provides 60% of all grain and food exports from Ukraine. In 3 months, 386 ships with 8.8 million tons of agricultural products left Ukrainian ports. I would also like to note the impact of the "Grain Initiative" on the stabilization of food prices in the world. The FAO Food Price Index decreased to 136 points in September, against a record 160 points. We hope that the Agreement will be extended. Ukraine will win the war and the common sense will win this matter."
For Ukrainian farmers the "Grain Agreement" will be a signal to sow in the spring, added the chair of the UAC.
