By Resolution No. 581 as of May 17, 2024, the Government amended Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 129 as of February 9, 2024 and Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 380 as of April 30, 2024 and established a 30% discount to the tariffs for transportation by Ukrzaliznytsia.

The discount will apply to export transportation of agricultural products from stations located in:

• in the in the territories of possible hostilities (for which the date of termination of the possibility of hostilities has not been determined);
• in the territories of active hostilities (for which the date of termination of hostilities has not been determined);
• in the territories of active hostilities where state electronic information resources operate (for which the date of completion of hostilities has not been determined).

The relevant amendments were developed with the participation of experts from the UAC, which are implementing the USAID AGRO Program “Supporting agricultural MSMEs affected by active hostilities or Russia’s temporary occupation”.

UAH 1 billion has been allocated in the budget of Ukrzaliznytsia to provide such a discount. It will be applied automatically to the above-mentioned cargo shipments and will expire after the allocated funds are used up.

The UAC welcomes the adoption of the above changes by the Government and expresses its gratitude to the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Ukrzaliznytsia for their constructive position and willingness to hear and solve the problems of the agricultural business in the frontline areas.
