More than 350 agricultural producers from all over Ukraine joined the first online agricultural forum organized by the Ukrainian Agri Council (UAC). Today on the topic of transfer of agricultural lands to communal ownership of united territorial community and the start of the land market talked with the head of the State Geocadastre Roman Leshchenko, Director of the Department of Land Management, Land Use and Protection of the State Cadastre Olha Gavliuk and UAC lawyer on land issues Victoria Kiprianova.

According to the words of Roman Leshchenko, active work is currently underway to transfer land to united territorial community ownership. Moreover, the department has an ambitious plan to complete the transfer of land as soon as possible. The official also said that significant reforms will affect the State Geocadastre. 24 legal entities will be liquidated - the Department of the State Geocadastre in the regions, and instead one legal entity will be created, as a result of which the staff of the department's officials will be reduced. There will also be a deep deregulation of land relations - the authority to manage the land will be transferred to the territories.

Director of the Department of Land Management, Use and Protection of Lands of the State Geocadastre Olha Gavliuk spoke in detail about the procedure of transferring lands from the State Geocadastre to the ownership of communities.

UAC lawyer for land issues Victoria Kipriyanova explained the provisions of the law "On the circulation of agricultural land." In particular, she told how to be protected from losing of a land bank if land was sold to a third party. Also - how to avoid early termination of the lease agreement by the landowner.

Separately, Victoria Kiprianova focused on the new rules for renewal of lease agreements, which came into force on July 16, 2020. She emphasized the mistakes which were made by farmers concluding lease agreements and told how to correctly prescribe the term of the agreement in the additional agreement.
