
Today, on August 6, the delegation from Estonia visited Uman and met with the Ukrainian Agricultural Council, the Association of Pig Producers of Ukraine, the Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine and the National Sugar Association of Ukraine "Ukrtsukor".
The Estonian delegation included the deputy of the European Parliament Ivari Padar and the chairman of the Estonian community Otepää - Kaido Tamberg.
The organizer of this visit was the Institute of Cooperation and Local Self-Government.
The Estonian delegation familiarized with the work of the agrarian associations and expressed its interest in cooperation.
In addition, the delegates visited the Ukrainian Agrarian Lyceum (UAL), which was created on the basis of the UAC, got acquainted with the domestic system of education and provided recommendations for its improvement.
Within the framework of the visit, Estonian colleagues met with farmers from Cherkasy and neighboring regions and visited the leading agrarian enterprise - Berestivetsʹ Ltd. This farm is part of the UAC and is its active participant.
During the next three days, the delegates will visit Tyshkivka United territorial community in the Kirovograd region, meet with the regional authorities and become acquainted with the prospect of opening the lyceum class.
On Wednesday, August 8, Ivari Padar and Kaido Tamberg will visit Ivano-Frankivsk region and take part in the All-Ukrainian Forum on the Development of Rural Territories. Within the framework of the event, the representatives of the Estonian delegation will talk about the European programs supporting the reform of decentralization in Ukraine and the experience of Estonia in the development of local self-government.
