More than 25 agrarian associations appealed to President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Denis Shmigal to refrain from dismissing Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Taras Vysotsky.
"Since April 21, numerous media outlets, citing their own sources of information in the Government, have been spreading the news that the Government plans to dismiss Taras Vysotsky, the agrarian deputy of the Ministry of Economy. In particular, there’s information spreading that two options are being considered - changing the agrarian deputy Ministry of Economy or appointing a full-fledged APC minister, "the statement reads.
Representatives of agrarian associations emphasized that while holding the post of Deputy Minister of MEDT, Taras Vysotsky "showed himself to be a hard-working, honest and competent expert" ,who was able to establish a dialogue with the Ministry and representatives of the industry.
That is why agrarians urge the president and prime minister to retain Taras Vysotsky as deputy minister of MEDT or equivalent to it if a decision is taken to reinstate the APC ministry.
