Soybean exports from Ukraine remain relatively active, but shipments may slow down at the end of the month. The market is beginning to be affected by the correction of global prices.

This was reported by the analytical department of the First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative (FUAC), created within the Ukrainian Agrarian Council.

“Soybean exports amounted to about 200,000 tons as of December 15. Soybeans are still being shipped quite actively, but we can expect that at the end of the month, exports will not be as intense,” the analysts noted.

The correction in the global market has already affected Ukrainian export prices.

"Last week, quotations in ports remained largely unchanged or showed a slight decline, ranging from UDS422 -427 per ton. At the same time, domestic processors continue to maintain high purchase prices thanks to favorable processing margins and actively compete with exporters for raw materials," explain PUSK analysts.

According to experts, the Ukrainian soybean market is entering a phase of short-term stabilization, and further price movements will largely be determined by the Chicago Stock Exchange, where the conditions for a possible reversal after correction are forming.

“In the first half of January, the market may correct, and higher price levels for soybeans will potentially form in March-May, which makes it advisable to postpone active sales until the second half of the season,” the FUAC concluded.
