Today, the agrarian community has received a clear signal from the authorities that agrarians are heard and that the authorities are ready to work on their problematic issues.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during his working visit to Kyiv region called on the parliament to immediately cancel the "soybean amendments", through which farmers lose money because they are forced to sell crops at unprofitable prices. These amendments to the tax code, which abolished VAT refunds on soybean and rapeseed exports, were adopted in 2017 and put small and medium-sized agricultural producers at a disadvantage compared to large agricultural holdings when selling products.

In order to resolve this issue as soon as possible, the President proposed to adopt the bill No. 2446, which was developed by the UAC specialists and submitted to the VRU by deputies - members of the agrarian and tax committees.

In addition, the President said he proposes to consider land concentration volumes in one pair of hands after launching the land market in the range of 1 to 10 thousand hectares, which meets the requirements of agrarians and a cost-effective model of the land reform.

Also, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine today adopted, as a basis and as a whole, the bill No. 2317, which introduces significant changes to the procedure for obtaining licenses for fuel storage for own needs. This bill greatly simplifies the process of obtaining licenses, including, rather than submitting a whole series of documents that you should have spent a lot of time and money on, it will now be sufficient to only apply for a DFS.

The Ukrainian Agri Council welcomes the position of the President and the Parliament, as it is the key to a constructive dialogue and successful joint work, which will result in qualitative changes in the agricultural sector in particular and in society in general.

We want to give our thanks for the active support of the agrarians' proposals for the revision of the bill No.2317 and the cancellation of "soybean amendments" to the Presidential Commissioner on Land Affairs Roman Leshchenko, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy of Mykola Solskyy, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danil Hetmantsev, MPs Oleg Tarasov, Oleksiy Ustenko and all co-authors of the bill No.2446.    .
