The Ukrainian Agri Council, together with the Association of Milk Producers and with the support of Dow Company, held the first regional seminar within the project: “Efficient and Ecological Restoration of Agriculture in Ukraine”.

The seminar was held at the Granat Farm in Odesa region. The event was attended by more than 35 farms engaged in crop and livestock production. The seminar explained issues on the main cases of grain storage in polymer sleeves.

But the main emphasis was on explaining the problem of recycling used sleeves. Valerii Alekseiev, Chief Expert on the Technology of Grain and Feed Storage in Polymeric Sleeves of the UAC, emphasized the important points during packing/unpacking of the hose and its preparation for further utilization. The expert spoke about the global practice of plastic waste management and how farmers should establish cooperation with plants for the utilization of used polymer hoses.

Anatolii Artemenko, the Head of the farm, provided an opportunity to see the process of packaging the polymer sleeves and emphasized the importance of holding such training seminars. He also thanked foreign partners for supporting Ukrainian farmers.
