On October, rapeseed exports from Ukraine will not exceed 135–140 thousand tons, compared to 535 thousand tons last year. As of October 28, 125 thousand tons have been exported.
This was reported by the analytical department of the First Ukrainian Agricultural Cooperative (FUAC), created within the Ukrainian Agri Council.
“Exports are moving very slowly — everything is hampered by duties. It is these duties that have effectively stopped the normal work of exporters,” the FUAC emphasizes.
Domestic processing volumes are growing. "In September, we processed over 100,000 tons, and in October, the figure will be no less. Against the backdrop of problems with sunflower seeds, rapeseed is currently supporting the sector. Prices for rapeseed in ports are in the range of EUR540–545 per ton. At the same time, processors are offering from UAH25,000 a ton and above," analysts note. The
European market is showing positive price dynamics.
“Over the past week, rapeseed exchange quotations have risen by EUR10. January–February is traditionally expected to be the period of highest prices for this oilseed crop,” the FUAC adds.
