During the regional agricultural forum held in Cherkasy region at the initiative of the UAC, a concrete result was achieved — an agreement was reached to establish a working group consisting of representatives of agribusiness and members of the Ukrainian parliament.

Its goal is to establish systematic interaction between the agricultural sector and parliament so that legislative initiatives take into account the real needs of producers.

"Representatives of all political forces were invited to this meeting. We gathered to achieve a concrete result regarding the interaction between parliament and the agricultural sector. To create a working group that can convey to People’s Deputies a well-founded position based on statistical data, analytics, and predictions. People’s Deputies must understand what they are voting for. More than 200 present farmers supported this initiative," emphasized Valentyn Nychyporenko, member of the UAC board.

People's Deputy Vitalii Voytsekhivskyi also supported the creation of the working group:

“I fully support the idea of creating working groups, and I am ready to join them and discuss legislative initiatives related to agriculture. Thank you for the open dialogue.”

The parliamentarian also suggested that the group discuss not only urgent challenges but also strategic directions for the development of the agricultural sector.

Alla Stechyshyn, a member of the UAC board, joined the discussion, emphasizing the importance of ongoing dialogue between farmers and the government:

“We are gathering so that farmers can keep pace with the government and so that the government can hear us. Only through joint dialogue can we achieve real results and make informed decisions for the industry.”

The UAC thanks the People’s Deputies for participating in the forum and for their openness to cooperation with the agricultural community.

The UAC calls on People’s Deputies from all groups and factions to participate in the upcoming regional agricultural forums to be held in all regions of Ukraine, as well as to join the working groups that will be created to collaborate on legislative initiatives for the benefit of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, as this sector is the foundation for community development and support for Ukraine's economy.
