September 1 in Uman, Cherkassy region, the solemn opening of the school season in a new private institution for pre-school, primary and secondary education- the Children's Academy, created on the basis of the Ukrainian Agricultural Council.

This is an educational complex that will operate under the Concept "New Ukrainian School" using Estonian in Finnish experience. The main goal is to create an elementary institution in which children will be pleased to learn and which will give students not only knowledge, but also the ability to apply them in life. Teachers will teach children to work in a team, to take responsibility, to form their ability to critical thinking, planning, time management. Thus, this institution aims to not only convey basic knowledge to students in the classical subjects, but also to form the necessary skills and abilities for them in order to have a comfortable life in the modern world.

This year, the Children's Academy launches courses for preschool children (for children from 3 to 5 years old) and elementary education (grades 1 and 2), and in the future plans to cover all levels of general secondary education.

The school day at the Children's Academy will be significantly different from that of regular secondary schools.

First, the training will be based on a studio model. The Children's Academy will combine studios of educational development (under the program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine) and creative studios, in which children will learn ethics, cooking, etc. At the same time, children will be able to choose their own interests, what they are interested in and what they want to do.

In addition, students will not be burdened with a huge number of homework that frighten and reflect the desire to go to school and learn - during the day they will have an "hour of self-development", during which they will perform tasks, prepared by the teacher.

Secondly, the Children's Academy is a full-time school. The training will start at 8 o'clock in the morning and end in the evening. The children will have an interesting program for the whole day, which will include rest: free time for games and walks.

Thirdly, in this institution there will be a model of individual tutor review. This means that each child will have a personal mentor that will enable her to reveal her strengths and weaknesses, to learn to understand, control their emotions and work in a team.

Recall that in 2017, the head of the UAC, Andriy Dykun, founded the Ukrainian Agricultural Lyceum (UAL) in Uman, a private secondary educational institution of the third degree with an agrarian inclination. The basis of the educational methodology were the principles of the Estonian and Finnish educational systems.

Starting from September 1, UAL launches the first training program for tractor drivers in Ukraine based on a dual system of training, which includes a theoretical block, internships in Estonia, practical blocks together with agricultural machinery dealers in Ukraine, and a large amount of practice at domestic agrarian enterprises.
