During the week, more than 30 agricultural enterprises in 7 regions of Ukraine provided assistance to regional, district and rural medical institutions in the framework of the “Save the lives of Ukrainians” initiative, initiated by the Ukrainian Agri Council.

Agrarians, at the request of medical institutions, purchased devices of artificial ventilation of lungs , oxygen concentrators, personal protective equipment for doctors, and disinfectants. They also provided charitable assistance to hospitals to combat the pandemic.

Cherkasy region

A food reserve has been created in the city of Uman on the initiative of the founder of the group of companies DYKUN, the chairman of the Ukrainian Agri Council Andriy Dykun. For the time of the quarantine, volunteers will provide free meals to the elder people as well as doctors, who will work around the clock with the coronavirus patients. Also for Uman city hospital, Andriy Dykun handed over the device of artificial ventilation of the lungs.

More than 100 thousand UAH for the help of hospitals and the purchase of special means of protection for doctors was transferred by the participant of the UAC, the head of the LLC "APK Nastashka" and STOV "STEP-2000" Oleksiy Prudyvus.

In Zhashkiv district, the leaders of PSP "Vidrodzhennya" Kotko Hryhoriy and Kotko Mykhaylo  provided the outpatient clinic of the village of Vorone in Zhashkiv district with disinfectants, antiseptics and protective clothing for medical personnel.

100 thousand UAH of charitable assistance was provided by the enterprise «Urochishche Zhuravske», headed by Igor Novitsky, for Uman and Talne district hospitals. The total amount of assistance from the agribusiness this marketing year was about 3 million UAH. The list of equipment purchased includes an oxygen concentrator.

Ternopil region

Three million hryvnias will be sent by a participant of UAC, an “Agroprodservice” enterprise for the needs of hospitals and medical staff in the areas of Ternopil region where they cultivate land.

Chief of the enterprise "Buchachagrohlibprom" Petro Gadz purchased a device of artificial ventilation of the lungs for the Buchach district hospital. In addition, over 20 agrarians in the Terebovlya district raised 1 million 166 thousand UAH for the purchase of IVL apparatus and protection of medical personnel of the Terebovlya district hospital.

Poltava region

One hundred thousand hryvnias for the purchase of personal protective equipment for residents of the Karlovsky district of Poltava region was allocated by a participant of the UAC, the founder of the "Lanivsk Agroindustrial Group" Oleksander Timokh.

Volyn

One hundred thousand hryvnias of charitable aid for "Volodymyr-Volyn Territorial Medical Association" was allocated by the head of "Progress" LLC Anatoliy Vitruk.

Rozhysche district hospital also received charity assistance in the amount of UAH 100 thousand from a member of the “Association of Pig Farmers of Ukraine”, “GIRSAM” LLC. Also, the first tranche of medical masks from the Girsam enterprise was received by the Rozhysche Center for Primary Health Care.

Donetsk region

The participants of UAC , Pavlo Kulish (LLC "Kolos") and Igor Chornobryvets (FG "Urozhayne CHI") provided doctors of the Pokrovsk district hospital with means of protection and disinfectants.

Khmelnytskyi region

Head of the agro enterprise “Perlyna Podillya” LLC Sergiy Ivashchuk purchased an oxygen concentrator for the Bilogorsk Central District Hospital. In addition, she provided the hospital with medicines, personal care and protection.

Kirovograd region

UAC member Sergiy Tarasov purchased artificial ventilation devices for hospitals in the Kirovograd region. Two devices will soon arrive at the City Hospital of Emergency Medical Services of Kropyvnytskyi. Three more IVL devices are planned to be purchased and handed over to medical institutions of Kirovohrad region by the end of April.
