The cattle stock in Ukraine continues to decline
As of October 1, there are 3 million 861,7 thousand heads in Ukraine, which is by 4,1% less than in the same period last year. In particular, in agricultural enterprises, the reduction of the stock amounted to 3.2% - 1 million 164.7 thousand, and in households - 4.5%, 2 million 697 thousand.
The growth of the national herd was noted in four oblasts: Luhansk (59.3 thousand + 14.5%), Zhytomyr (204.4 thousand + 6.1%), Zakarpattya (143.2 thousand, +1.2 %) and Kyiv (132.6 thousand + 0.4%).
Growth of industrial stock was only in three oblasts: Ivano-Frankivsk (12.2 thousand + 7%), Ternopil (30.5 thousand, + 6.3%) and Kherson (15.7 thousand + 2.6%).
The production of milk for the nine months of this year decreased by 2% and amounted to 7 million 908.3 thousand tons. The volume growth was insignificant, except for Khmelnytsky, where total production increased by 3.8% to 491.1 thousand tons. The largest amount of milk was produced in Vinnytsia (643.7 thousand tons), Poltava (594 thousand tons) and Khmelnytsky (491.1 thousand tons).
The production of milk in agricultural enterprises remained at the level of last year and amounted to 2 million 125.7 thousand tons. The largest increase in industrial milk was in the Mykolaiv region — +10.3% — 35.2 thousand tons. Also, production has increased in Ternopil (59,7 thousand tons, + 9,1%), Kirovograd (47 thousand tons, + 7,1%) and Kherson (34,1 thousand tons, + 6,9%) regions.
At the same time, production in households decreased by 2.9% to 5 mln. 782.6 tons. The greatest increase was in Khmelnytsky (365.1 th. Tons + 4.3%), Luhansk (75, 9 thousand tons, + 3,3%) and Donetsk (88,5 thousand tons, + 2,1%) regions.
