UAC Deputy Chairman on tax policy, a partner of Crowe Erfolg Ukraine and Crowe A&A Ukraine partner Olga Bogdanova spoke about the peculiarities of documenting the fact of the loss of the harvest during a webinar organized by the UAC for the Association members.

In particular, the expert stressed that this procedure depends on a number of factors - whether the crop was insured or not, the agro company has contractual obligations regarding the future sale of the crop or not. In each case there is its own algorithm of action. For example, if the crop is insured, it is necessary to be guided by the requirements stipulated in the insurance contract. If there is a contract for the sale of the crop, you will need to obtain a CCI certificate for any accidents.

However, in any case, you need to create a special commission that will record the loss of the crop, estimate the amount of damage and make their proposals. It may include employees of agricultural enterprises (agronomist, (chief) accountant, foreman), as well as representatives of other organizations, including the insurance company (if the crops were insured), councils in the territory of which the relevant lands are located, etc.

"The result of the work of such a commission should be an act of inspection. This act will be the primary document for accounting and will be the basis for writing off the lost goods or expenses," Olga Bogdanova said.
