Today, November 14, the head of the Ukrainian Agri Council Andriy Dykun spoke at an international conference "Future Milk Exporters in the Global Market" in Hanover, Germany, during which he outlined the main issues facing domestic livestock owners today.

In particular, the head of the UAC paid considerable attention to issues related to the export realities and prospects of the dairy industry in Ukraine.

In his view, the suspension of trade with the eastern neighbor has positively influenced the efficiency and productivity of dairy farms.

"For Ukraine, it was a great success to suspend active trade with Russia. We were forced to stop and start thinking about what to do with our market. During this time, the productivity of dairy farms of the Association of milk producers, whose average income varies greatly from the average in the country, greatly increased. We learned from specialists in Denmark and the Netherlands, introduced the American model of dairy farms. Even 10 years ago we dreamed that we would build a cooperative factory, and now we are implementing it ", - said Andriy Dykun.

According to his forecasts, the productivity of Ukrainian producers will continue to grow. The greatest increase is expected after the end of the war, when the consumption of products will increase, and investments in the domestic livestock sector will become more secure.

At present, UAC and Association of milk producers are actively working to protect the rights of domestic agricultural producers in the legal plane. Thus, the associations actively support and urge the parliament to adopt bills "On Agricultural Cooperatives", "On Milk, Dairy and Immersion Products" and several others.
